To all members the session on the 25th Feburary, has moved to the 24th Feburary. Sessions after this will be back on Thursday nights as normal.

Senior badminton session (11th December)
The session on the 11th December for Seniors has had to be cancelled. Please beaware that the next session will be the 18th December which will be the last session of the year.

Please be aware that we only have the use of two courts on both the 11th and 12th December due to Bishop Wand using the sports hall for the school performance. Racqueteers would like to apologise to all its members for any inconvenience.

Junior and Senior sessions
Due to exams being held a Bishop Wand School the sports hall will be unavailable for the sessions on the 6th and 7th December.

Men's 6 win their first league match!!!
The men's 6 faced their first league match of the season against British Airways on the 18th October and came away with a win of 7 games to 2.

Match against H.C.C postponed!
The hybrid match against H.C.C was postponed and a New match date will be arranged.

Match fixture on the 27th September against S.C.B.
Due to a problem with dates S.C.B.C was unable to play there fixture on the 27th September. A new date will hopefully be arrange for the near future.

Match against Air Canada Postponed.
Unfortunatly we were unable to get a team together for the match against Air Canada on the 20th September. The match was postponed and a new match date will be confimed.

Senior Surrey Youth Games
Senior Surrey Youth Games Badminton Squard come 2nd. After a hard fought group and semi-final stage they narrowly missed out on the gold by one game in the final.. Well done to everyone that entered!!!!

Awards For All
Yes we've got a grant from Sport England.. just over £5,000. That means we shall be able to survive and grow without worrying about borrowing money to pay for the courts. What we plan to do with the cash is pay back the loan that got the Bishop Wand sessions going, then invest it in developing our coaches and volunteers. We are also on target for achieving the Surrey Active GOLD accreditation so some cash will help coaches and volunteers complete their ongoing professional development. Now that we know we are a viable club we need to increase our membership. The Wednesday Club needs more adults so please start to advertise and bring your friends down. Next season we shall be wanting all senior members to affiliate to Badminton England, so that more or you can play in matches and tournaments. Our juniors have already shown that they are fit for senior league play in the mens and ladies league. Next year wouldn't it be great if we had a hybrid team in there as well? Thanks to Andy Kelly and Chloe Ackerman for running their teams this season.
